"Biggest Razorback Fan"
Saturday Daybreak on KATV/Channel 7 announced a few weeks ago that they were having the “Biggest Razorback Fan” contest – winner would receive a Fajita Bar for 15 friends from Moe’s Southwest Grill. I put a power point presentation together with all my pictures of me with Razorback celebrities– GUESS WHAT – I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Channel 7 called yesterday to let me know I won the contest. I am SO excited. It was supposed to be for the Texas game, but the game has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Ike, so now I will need to decide when I want to have it.

Jeff Long/Athletic Director at University of Arkansas
Jeff Long, Athletic Director at the University of Arkansas, had an appointment with my executive, Fletcher Lord, on Friday/September 6th. Of course, he had to go through my office to see Mr. Lord. He was a bit impressed with all the “Razorback” stuff in my office. He was surprised that we had already met the new football head coach, Bobby Petrino. It was exciting to have Mr. Long in my office; it was also exciting that I was able to get my picture with him. I am SO blessed!

Caleb on "The Zone" on 103.7 The Buzz
Wednesday, August 6th, Caleb did an interview on "The Zone" on 103.7 The Buzz. Justin, Joe & Pat interviewed Caleb & Jay Jay about the AAU Junior Olympics National Track & Field meet in Detroit, MI. Caleb did well and we were able to get a "clip" from the radio show. They asked him a lot about being fast and passionate about sports. They asked him which sport he wants to do in college - he said "Football". We had a blast! I was in Hog Heaven - on 103.7 The Buzz - right there where it all happens!!!!!
Coach Bobby Petrino/Arkansas Razorbacks
Carla, Caleb & I were priviliged to meet the new Coach at the University of Arkansas on June 12, 2008 at the Saline County Razorback Club Annual Banquet. Coach Petrino spent a few minutes with Caleb and encouraged him to keep working hard. I told Coach that Caleb really wants to be a Razorback - I asked him, "How do you build a relationship with you and your new staff? His reply was "Bring him to Fayetteville as much as possible" (whatever that means)! So today, I sent him a packet of information about Caleb attending Peyton Manning's Passing Academy and information about Caleb winning the "GOLD" metal. I don't expect to hear from him, but I thought he needed to see Caleb's accomplishments.

Caleb & The "Gold" Medal
Caleb returned home Sunday/August 3rd @ 10:00 am. Carla brought him by my church so everyone could congratulate him. The Pastor had him stand and they asked me to explain to the church about the Gold Medal. It was my pleasure. They left my church and went to Caleb's church. Sunday afternoon on our way to the Arkansas Twister game, we stopped by the Clinton Library and took this picture. He got LOTS of attention at the Twister game. The Twisters that know Caleb personally, were so proud of him. Sunday was an AWESOME day - a day to remember!

Caleb at Peyton Manning's Football Camp
- Caleb attended the 2008 Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, LA in July. He had a great time. He was privileged to meet Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Cooper Manning and listened to Archie Manning at the final session. Caleb is not training to be a Quarterback; he is training to be a Wide Receiver. A large percentage of the camp focused on the Wide Receiver position. Caleb worked hard on his speed, his ability to catch the football and on running the pass pattern routes.
He and Carla had a great time in Thibodaux. Carla took lots of pictures and filmed Caleb on most of the sessions. When they finished the camp, they went on a “Swamp” tour.
Caleb’s remark about his experience at the Manning Football Camp……
-- I became more confident catching any type of pass at the Manning Football Camp,
--I learned the steps for becoming a Wide Receiver….
o See it
o Catch it
o Tuck it
o Tight Turn
--It was an amazing experience. Something I can remember for a lifetime.
